Absolutely delicious food, I can see why this is an old town favorite. I could never come here and not order the Sugar Babies on the menu. They’re perfectly powdered sugar scones. And yes they do make excellent leftover for the next day! Also, their milkshakes are huge!!

Haven't been to Merritt's since I thought it was cool to sit up all night drinking coffee, smoking and listening to the juke box. So with my high-school years a good 14 years behind me todays visit focused on nothing but breakfast. And wow. From the bacon to the eggs, from the biscuits to the gravy, home style deliciousness is all I can say. Great style, friendly staff and still the best scones in the state.
