Catalpa Park

Catalpa park is not the biggest nor does it have the best playground in town. But it is definitely one of the best low-key and peaceful places for a chill time without the crowds of the bigger more popular parks in town.

I take some of the kids I nanny here on occasion and its great.. for the most part. One day, for absolutely no reason, I chose to chase my little one up the slide and I was so glad that I did because of what I found. I found a home made pot smoking device with the ash still in it and everything. Do parks not have security or someone who checks for this kind of stuff? One of the little kids that was there for a play camp said it had been there since they got there(7-7:30am). So kids are just playing around weed water and ash? I don't think so. Do better.

Catalpa Park is a great day getaway for the whole family. It has an excellent playground for the littles, tennis courts basketball court, horseshoe pits, volleyball sand pit and plenty of shade. We love to bring our grill and BBQ.

Quiet park with a stream in the back. My dog loves it here.
