First week in town trying to find a new place to train. Everyone was very nice and accommodating. all the other comments that were made our true very nice group of people

Levi, Kevin, and all of the folks of Darkhourse Jiu-Jitsu are awesome . Really nice people with a ton of knowledge to share. Just a bunch of down to earth guys that practice the sport/art, and they leave their egos at the door, which makes it feel very homey. You get a nice blend of cardio exercise and technical learning. This place is my new go-to for martial arts. I just changed gears from a traditional martial arts, where I was continually injuring my hands, knees, and feet from kicking and punching, to jiu-jitsu, which seems to be far less damaging to my body. It's a great workout for both guys and gals. Live longer, live stronger with Jiu-Jitsu!

I've been coming here with my now 16 year old daughter for almost two years. It can be intimidating showing up to a martial arts facility, but everyone here is down to earth and not here to hurt anyone, nor does anyone have an ego. Levi is a laid back individual who doesn't pressure anyone into doing anything they aren't comfortable with, and encourages you to stop if you feel you may have injured yourself. He's welcomed my children and worked with my 16 year old daughter to help her improve. He is methodical with his teaching and breaks down each technique step by step. Dark Horse is definitely a friendly place to learn Jiu Jitsu or Maui Thai. I'd also encourage you to bring any or your teen kids who are interested in learning Jiu Jitsu or Maui Thai. It's been a great confidence booster for my daughter, and as soon as my other two children are old enough to attend, they'll be at the gym training also.

I've been training on and off for the past 5 years at many different schools. This is my favorite. Levi is a standup guy who looks out for all of his students. He is not a blackbelt in BJJ but to me this is better. He is still working, learning and getting better and does not possess the ego that inhibits many blackbelt trainers. He wants you to improve and be comfortable first and foremost and is always willing to share his knowledge with you. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
