For the amount of money I have spent on this trip- I am not “over the moon” satisfied. The splash park, while nice, was dirty. There were disposable masks littered all over the place and while waiting in line the top of the slides were covered in filth along with the window sills as you walk up. My family & I stayed in Hawthorne Suites & while it was a decent sized room our air conditioning broke at some point during the night making it difficult to sleep. In the morning I called the front desk and the woman said she would put in a maintenance request. A man named Mike then came to my door and said, “Oh. I have you down as being checked out already.” I informed him that we were not leaving until tomorrow (this was Saturday- we paid until Sunday.) I then told Mike our ac was broken. I believe he did everything he could for us in this situation & if it wasn’t for him I would have had to complain continuously if he didn’t check to see if our room was occupied. Then again someone knocked on my door only to say the same thing “Oh we thought you were checked out.” There’s obviously some miscommunication in this hotel. We did end up getting a new room but for the price of the 2 nights I would have appreciated some kind of compensation for having to pack up and move 2 floors and at the opposite end of the hotel. I’m not exactly pleased, but I’m not angry either. I know sometimes things happen but it would nice to be appreciated or feel that my business is valued.

We had an Overnight Package with so Many Awesome Perks! When we checked into the Holiday Inn Express, they upgraded us to an Executive suite for free! ud83dudc97ud83dudc97 It was so nice being cozy by the fireplace at night after splashing all day with the kids

My husband and I recently visited with our 7 year old son, who has not had much to do since COVID. We purchased the package with the 2 night hotel stay, and although my son loved the park, the hotel (Hawthorn suites) was a nightmare and did not make for a fun visit. When we initially arrived, our room was not available- which was fine, because we had been expecting a later room arrival (4:00 pm). We were given tickets and allowed right in the park. At 4 pm, eager to check in, we went back to the main lobby only to find a line about 15 people long also desiring to check in, with one person- a wonderful woman, BTW, named Brittany- working the front desk. We wasted over an hour here. After finally getting our room key, we went up but found that our room had a full, overflowing garbage from the prior occupants, a ton of half eaten food in the fridge, and a dishwasher full of dirty dishes. Not what we wanted to find during a pandemic and for the price we paid for the room. My husband put the garbage outside the room but since there were no extra bags, had to wait another half hour in line for a new one. As far as the dirty dishes, I just left them and told my son not to touch them. Last, the bathroom was dirty and I will simply say that it was clear that the toilet had not been fully scrubbed . On the second day, we went to the splash park and returned to our room only to find that our keys had been invalidated despite the fact that we still had an additional night. No big deal, except my husband was forced to wait in line yet again to get it taken care of. My son had a ball in the splash park, but overall we were disappointed with the amount of money paid and the stay itself simply due to the fact that we lost a lot of time and obviously full COVID protocol was not followed for our room.

Inside of waterpark was cold. Water was on the cold side. Towels weren't provided. Waterpark was closes to many restaurants and shops.

It's an indoor water park. It's perfect for spending a day at. A few different types of rides for each type of rider. My four year old never got bored either.
