Great meal for a good price. Parking in back of building.nTropical Taco was originally a green food truck beginning in the 1970s. The truck has transitioned to a restaurant. The restaurant has a full wall painting of the green truck with wheels and other parts matching the original truck. AND the owner of the original truck is now the restaurant owner and still cooks the terrific Tropical Taco food. We eat meals from the truck in 1984 and from the restaurant in 2020.

Best tacos on the island. Period.nnWe were in Kauai for 9 days and I tried almost every taco joint on the island. Fish is fresh daily along with the house salsa and house made chips. Can’t go wrong with the refried beans either (my wife loved them). Stop in and give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. Roger (the owner) is just as great as his food!

Great food prepared on the spot, comes out so hot you got to wait a minute before you can eat. We're have been here twice and food is delicious. No restrooms, though. Cash only.

Not recommended - overpriced, mediocre food.
