Naches Ranger Station

All Forest Service Stations are closed to the public because of Covid. You can call the ranger station and they may answer and be able to assist, otherwise email them before your trip. They are not allowed to be in contact with public. The public is not supposed to be travelling this year, there is a pandemic and you take it everywhere you go, especially into these small rural towns with highly susceptible populations.

Great place to do your community service hours for. If they having a good day. Winter time. Thanx for being available for that for myself

A staff member was available at a front window. She wasn't able to give me useful guidance. Literature is available in the entrance foyer. The office is closed to the public. I headed in the direction of the forest service land along Hey 410. I found a deserted camping area, spent a few minutes admiringly the Beaches River. A few miles further towards Mt. Rainier Park, I found a trail head: the key task. Again, deserted. I declined to hike it, but look forward to returning with a hiking buddy.

This is the perfect place to pull over and stretch your legs. Been using the station for that for years. Rangers are great guys and the firefighters do great work keeping the Cascades green.

Nice facility, however, it was closed. The Lobby was open so I was able to pick up the brochures but not the maps I needed.
