Dickey's Barbecue Pit

Excellent dinner! It's hard to find barbecue that doesn't need to be buried in sauce. The pulled pork is tender, flavorful and not dry. I also had the fried okra, again, delicious with no ranch dressing required. My second side dish was the green beans, nice and peppery. We sat on the patio this evening to enjoy our dinner. Asher is a very gracious host and took good care of us. We are from the Kansas City area and are always looking for good BBQ. This one is a standout and we will be back!

I experienced the worst customer service of my life. I went to pick up an online order. The at the register said they had printer problems but they would work on my order. I stood waiting for 30 minutes, watching every other person get their order. I went back up to make sure they working on it. She said no, they didn't know what I ordered because the printer wasn't working. Why wasn't I told this?! Why was I allowed to stand there for 30 minutes while everybody else got their order? She wrote down my order from the email on my phone and said she would do it next. I waited another 20 minutes, while I watched all the walk in customers get their order. Still no order for me. After an hour of standing and waiting, I think it was the manager got there and she apologized profusely. She said the printer was down and they couldn't get orders. I heard her ask the girl why my order wasn't ready and she said, she kept trying to work on it but couldn't get to it. This is so unacceptable!! I literally watched 30 people get their food while I waited. Complete lack of customer service and awareness. I'm never going to Dickeys again! I'm beyond disappointed.

Was ok. Okra was good, ribs and potato salad were ok. The sausage I ordered was cold and didn't look very appetizing. Warned it and wasn't good at all. The rolls we're ok, but kinda had a weird taste. Didn't get any bbq sauce with my order or the pickles and onions either that I asked for. I chose to pick up as the taxes and fees were almost another $40 on Postmates. I clicked delivery with GrubHub, but it took me to Postmates for some reason. However, the staff kind and polite at least. I've gone in the past to the one on Wyoming (pre-pandemic) and I enjoyed it, but not so much this time around.

I ordered to family packs that were suppose to be ready by 1215. They had issues finding my order so Macai the gentleman upfront asked his manager Gabby for assistance. She printed the order and then went in the back leaving Macai to make the order on his own. Even after he asked her to get the ice teas ready for my order she went in the back and never came out. Macai was very helpful even though he had no assistance. The reason this is only 2 stars is because the manager refused to assist with my order casuing me not to get the order until 1240. 25 minutes after my pickup time.

Forgot potato salad, Cole slaw, and bread on a family size order. The solution was to wait several days on a refund because the manager wasn't there or go back. I had a halloween party waiting so I just ran back. They still didn't give me the sauce and my fault for not checking until home... Rudy's it is from now on.
