YMCA and Yakima Rotary Aquatics Center

The aquatics's center is an exceptional experience . Can not wait until it is fully operational after covid-19.

Great facility! Family friendly and delightful for seniors as well!

This is a quality facility. The aquatics area is quite large and has a lot of features. The steam room is very good, but the sauna doesn't get nearly hot enough. The basketball court is very big and has a good layout. The free weights and exercise machines are fantastic and in a roomy space. There's plenty of parking too. However, the men's locker room was very poorly thought out. It's just too small and cramped to be of much practical use. I don't know about the women's locker room, but I assume it's no different. As well, the hours of operation are too limited. They need to be extended, especially during mornings and weekends. Also, some of the desk staff are less than helpful. And, when things break down, management takes a ridiculous amount of time in getting them fixed.

I think this a beautiful facility. It accommodates so many different aspects of a healthy workout and life style.nCouple things I would change : The hours. The hours are not beneficial and very limited. Which makes it less than a 5star facility.nThe staff unfortunately isn’t always on top of customer service all the time and forgets people are waiting for help while they are having private conversations.nnOther than that....Great place .

Great facility, great staff except one lady who works at the front desk at closing . Our stuff kids stolen from their locker . And she blamed us for mis placing them even after another employee had opened every locker there !! She stated that we were wasting THEIR time keeping them from what they needed to do . She didn’t care at all that our kids Stuff were gone, they had to walk out in towels after swimming. I understand there are thieves everywhere I just didn’t expect a YMCA employee be such a rude uncaring selfish human especially towards kids .
