My favorite wines at Horizons edge.The owner is down to earth and is always very friendly. Been coming to this place for over 10 years.
There are two wines we tried while visiting that deserve acquisition. The Monster Chardonnay (2010) and the Devil's Canyon Cab. Both are excellent, no matter the price. We ordered a case of each and I'll be ordering several more in the morning. The tasting room is small but well supplied. David (Padgett), the wine maker, is brilliant in discussions of his wine and the history of the vineyard. We totally enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and would recommend to anyone willing to look a little deeper for a great wine.
They make a variety of wines and surprised us in that their whole spectrum - sweets to dry - were very good. They also experiment with different ideas so if you want to try something unique, it's a good place to go. Lots of selection. We walked out of there with a case.
Love the laid back feel and of a working winery.... love the sweeter wines as well...
