I have been flying to the Huntington Airport for several years, to camp and fly the beautiful Utah backcountry. I highly recommend this airfield to backcountry aviators and hope that we can encourage Emery County to continue to support this wonderful facility they have created. There is grass for camping, a pilot lounge and a very nice shower house.

It had been a few years since I had flown into Huntington, Utah. The lake looked the same as we lined up for the runway but when we turned onto the apron I thought we were at the wrong airport. What a difference a few years can make, they have really improved this airport. I spoke with Leon, the manager I think and he gave all the credit to some forward thing commissioners. You need to check this place out 69V just south of Price, Utah. Leon was telling me about the campground with showers on site, you can camp under your airplane if you want to. Wayne Wardle 10/15/2013
