Kowalski Accounting

My parents have gone to Kowalski accounting for 20 plus years. Mr Kowalski is an amazing accountant and our family will never get our tax returns done anywhere else. Highly recommend

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!! GOT ME IN DEBT! Be careful if you go here!!!! My family used to see Mr. Kowalski for filing taxes until we switched to a new accountant! In 2013 I was 19 years old at this time and filed my taxes with him along with my mother. I forgot 1 T4 with me and Mr. Kowalski told me to use the phone on the desk beside me to call a certain phone number and ask the operator on the phone for the amounts on certain lines that would be on the T4 if I had brought it with me. I did what he asked and gave him the amounts like he had asked.i asked him if this was okay that I forgot my T4, and he assured me everything would be fine because I called the number and got the amounts that were needed for filing. We payed him his filing fee, he told me I would receive my return in up to 6 weeks and off we went. 6 weeks come along and I had not received my return. I called the CRA and was told that my tax return had NOT BEEN RECIEVED YET! This was now middle of June 2013. I called Mr. Kowalski and he said he forgot to submit and said he will, DID NOT APOLOGIZE FOR HIS MISTAKE, nor offered to reemberse his filing fee. Not only was my tax return filed late, but I received a notice of assessment a few months later saying that I now owe CRA $1000 because I did not submit that 1 T4 that I forgot the day we went to see Mr. Kowalski, even tho he assured me it would be okay. When you are 19 years old $1000 can be a lot to owe the government. I was young and had no idea that not submitting all T4’s would cost me this much money. Being an accountant you would think he would know about the repercussions of not submitting a T4,and would have informed me of these penalties. if I had known this would cost me $1000 I would have drove home to grab my missing T4. I WOULD NOT TRUST this man again and I encourage other who are thinking about seeing this man to look for other options. He might “forget” to inform you about certain criteria’s and it may cost you a debt with the government. WORST SERVICE!
