Honda Of Bellingham

I recommend staying away from this dealership; go south. When I reached out, a guy named Dotan responded. He immediately pushed a model of vehicle on me (CR-V EX-L) that was the greatest stock they had, citing reasons to consider it over the Touring. While he had some points, he immediately took control of the conversation and started downplaying the value of my vehicle, stating they used KBB to “price it realistically”. He also said “we sell our cars at invoice so there’s no negotiation”. I admit I didn’t care for the way he communicated; he was very presumptuous and refused to listen to any of my feedback. We were scheduled to go in and look at the car, but before this, I did research and found he was more than $2,000 under the recommended KBB trade-in “average” value for my vehicle. I contacted other dealerships and confirmed his offer was bogus. When I respectfully challenged him (including proof of the real value), he responded with ‘we use our own internal tool unavailable to the public’ or something along those lines, and refused to budge. Sadly, Dotan is the traditional “used car salesman” persona. Arrogant, pushy, and controlling. My guess is Bellingham Honda pushes bogus (bad) trade-in values because they are the last Honda dealership before the Border (and only one in Bellingham). Seriously; go south. The dealerships down there are far more reasonable, will offer proper trade-in value, and have friendlier staff who are more interested in working with you than controlling you.

This is the first time visiting Honda of Bellingham for service needed for my vehicle. The first thing you notice walking in is that they are following all the recommended COVID safety procedures. You can even tell the employees are smiling behind their masks!nRyan P. was absolutely fantastic to work with. I had been searching for a car and a dealership that would help me transport the car to Alaska. I contacted numerous dealerships prior to Honda of Bellingham and most if not all, dismissed my inquiry and said that they would get back to me. When I called Honda of Bellingham, Ashley got back to me right away and we got the ball rolling! She is absolutely awesome and easy to work with. They are also very straightforward and answered all the questions I had, which I am very grateful for because it is my first time buying a car and I'm young! I really enjoyed working with Ashley and made the experience less stressful than I thought it would be.

Go get your car at Honda dealership in Bellingham and ask for Ashley! Incredible team of people that are there to help you out! Ashley, Rudy and Sam were so helpful and kind and set us up with a great deal on leasing a car. They are very careful and considerate for health and safety during Covid, so I felt very safe while I was there. My husband and I had a really great experience, almost felt like we made new friends! Service Department Rocks! I bought a used Honda Pilot from Honda of Bellingham several years ago. I wasn't overly wowwed by the sales team. Not bad people at all, but as with sales folks... they have a hard time just being real. But when I started bringing my car in for regular oil changes I found that the service department here is AMAZING. They are good honest folks who go the extra mile. They seem to go the extra mile just because they see their work that way... no big drama or fan fare... just always pleasantly surprising me with their willingness to help. Just the other day, I was finishing my taxes and needed my milage. I felt shy about calling to ask them about my milage on my first and last oil change of the year, but they didn't hesitate and were super helpful. I can't say enough about the folks here. Thanks again. I'll be back.
