Blue Rocks Family Campground

Without a doubt one of the most beautiful places We have been. The kids all loved it. We went with a primitive site and had a great time. So good in fact that we stayed another day. Staff was awesome, really helpful and friendly. Woodys had great food. The whole park was clean and in really good order. We will be back as soon as We can.

Just an all around great place! The owners and all the staff are so nice and provide some of the best customer service I have experienced. Great place to hike and spend time outdoors and reconnect with nature. Pool is very nice and clean! We camped here in a travel trailer but they have beautiful secluded tent sites as well! Hiking trails connect you directly to the Appalachian trail. We highly recommend staying here!!

I've been coming here since I was a kid and I love it every single time. Wonderful spacious campsites, beautiful scenery, and great hiking. I'll be coming here for many more years ❤ufe0f

I love going to this place, I really do, but lately it is becoming more and more problematic. The phone is rarely answered, and you have to leave a message and hope you are called back. There is also no rhyme or reason to the charges. One weekend I went with about four friends and it was no problem getting one site. Three weeks later they are demanding 160 and two sites for the same accommodations, 200 if you want to have three people at two sites which is kind of absurd, especially since none of the showers or bathrooms are open because of covid. I will add that is for a Sunday night. I'll probably just stay away until the off season when things are a bit calmer.

This review is for several of the staff members including the office manager for Blue Rocks, not the campground itself. Overall we like the staff and have not had any issues with them. During this last stay, I was issued a store credit which I was told would be a refunded if I did not spend it before we left. I went on the last day to get it refunded and was told, very snidely and unprofessionally, by the two older ladies at the store, that 1) I should have used it to buy firewood, 2) I should use it to buy something in the store & 3) it should not have been issued to me in the first place. We were staying with other individuals that bought the firewood and due to Covid you could not go into the store. Regardless of whether the individual should have issued us the credit they did, and as a business Blue Rocks should honor what they employess tell their customer. They took my information down and told me that the office manager would be contacting me. It has been several weeks, I have called and no follow-up or response from them. This seems to be a trend as we have previously called and left messages when they do not answer regarding our reservations, and they do not call back. This customer service is very disappointing as well as the attitude of the two older ladies in the store.
