River Mountain

My husband and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and to simply “check out” for a few days and we literally cannot wait to go back! What a truly amazing and beautiful place. Toby and Liz were fantastic hosts and incredibly accommodating and kind. We loved the complimentary Happy Hour and hanging out by the bonfire. Literally counting down the days until we can go again. If you’re thinking about booking, do it, you won’t be sorry! Absolutely fantastic

Really enjoyed my stay at River Mountain. Scenic and peaceful getaway for time away from the city. Cabins were clean and quiet. There were nice opportunities to socialize with others during the nightly campfire happy hour and ping pong and games in barn. Would definitely go back.

I’m rounding out a week spent at River Mountain and my time here has been so peaceful. Staff is extremely helpful, from Meg emailing back and forth as I was trying to plan my trip, to Liz getting me directions and off on my way to go explore, and Toby being so kind as to daily check in to see if there was anything I needed. These are good people who believe in the mission, love the outdoors, and enjoy what they do. I will not hesitate to book here again for future solo or group retreats. This was the soul unwinding that I needed. Thank you to the staff for being so genuinely invested in seeing me have a good time while I was here. See you again soon, friends.

We spent this past Halloween weekend at River Mountain and have to say it was an incredible experience! We had 3 kids and 3 adults in our travel party, the pods worked out perfectly for us. We each had our own space and slept amazingly well under the sunlight of stars. Liz and Toby welcomed us as hosts with excellent communication and hospitality with apple turnovers, happy hour, awesome s’more kits and a special Halloween drink! Outstanding! The grounds are breath taking, I ran the meadow loop each morning and encountered deer! We all did the scavenger hunt as well, which the kids loved! The facility - log cabin, barn with games, main check in area and cabins are so cool.... we will definitely be going back! I would highly recommend!

We LOVED our trip! It couldn’t have been any better, especially during COVID-19.nnThe directors are truly amazing! We all felt safe and well taken care of. This was a family trip that consisted of 8 people ages 13 to 66.nnFrom the tour at arrival to the fire pit to the morning yoga, everything was perfect! Everyone that was on our trip mentioned they are coming back with friends or for a celebration.nnAll we can say is thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the kindness, understanding and amazing customer service. I don’t think we could have went anywhere else and felt more comfortable during this time.nnWe will definitely be back!
