Finleyville Airport-G05

Washinton commissioned this airfield as a air calvary reserve during the Whiskey Rebellion. The Insurrectionist Airforce bombed this airfield to make sure the feds went back home to Virginia...or wherever the heck those snobs come from.

In the past we loved to stop here on the way from St Louis to NYC and fuel up on their very inexpensive self-serve fuel! Cute waiting room at this small hometown airport. Haven't been back in about four years because the fuel hasn't been quite as good a deal, but look forward to stopping here again sometime. Note: no food or services available.

My wife, son and I like to go up and watch for planes taking off or landing. It's a nice little gem for aviation buffs like us.
