I had a great experience with Amanda at Iron Horse Atelier. I took my wedding dress there in January for my September wedding. Over 3 fittings and a final try-on, Amanda transformed my dress into the perfect fit! I got layers of tulle removed, added different straps, and added a modesty piece and everything was perfect. She followed COVID protocols for every fitting.

Having my wedding gown alterations done here was absolutely an excellent experience all around. We added an extra fitting because of COVID and it really helped give me peace of mind in a really challenging time. The alterations themselves were high quality and the price was very fair and reasonable. I could not be happier!

As a bridal boutique owner, it was very important to me to have a trustworthy seamstress to whom I could refer my clients, and Amanda's one of the first that I send them to. She has a great attention to detail, is well-organized, and brings a perfect balance of professionalism and fun to the fitting process!

Amanda is wonderful to work with. Her work is top quality and she truly cares that you are happy with the final product. Would absolutely recommend!

Ruined my dress and then ghosted me. Coming here ended up being my biggest regret and I feel like I really got scammed and ripped off. First off, the response to calls or emails is about 7 days if you are lucky which isn’t great if you are paying this price for time sensitive items so I am not sure I get that this is an active business. I got bad vibes from the start but it took me months to get an appointment and then it was too close to my wedding to switch so I just went with it and chalked it up to being over controlling about details. I just needed it fitted a little and was shocked to be priced at over $900. The more I asked around people said this was insane but the reviews were good so I was thinking she would work wonders. The waist of my dress was moved up two-threenInches up (from top of my hips where it is designed to be to right below my bust like erkle) and the fabric removed so that it could not be reversed or revived. It changed the whole entire look, fit and design because the sides are cut out With a plunging neck and that was totally lost. The shop is super small, cramped, and hot and I felt pressured and rushed everytime I was in there to make changes I didn’t need. It was so hard to tell wearing a mask in a tiny area how the dress fit so I get “you signed off on it” but that attitude is terrible and shady customer service. It didn’t feel right but I couldn’t figure out why it kept fitting and looking worse every time and was never form fitted to me how I wanted but I realized it was a lost cause. When I finally took it home to actually try it on to myself where I could breathe and move I found a hole ripped in the front (it was there in pictures from the shop too) and compared original pictures and realized that the problem was that the waist was moved so far up it looked ridiculous and was not the dress I wanted it to be. I immediately tried to contact Amanda to ask her to repair the hole in the front and please try to restore the Design of how the dress is supposed to look. She refused to answer my calls or ever emailnMe back. Note: I was never rude/mean or demanding, I was OVERLY nice kind and pleading the entire time because I was devistated and desperate so for her to ignore me was outrageously unprofessional and made me realize how fake she was to my face. Also, the dress looked to be torn apart and sewn back together haphazardly . Lining caught under seams, loose/pulled stitching, holes in the fabric. I was hoping to keep it as an heirloom but it went from designer to looking hand made. For $900 i had my dress completely remade and ruined. I would have done anything to have it back to original condition (which barely needed anything) and this was not a cheap dress. I expected way way better treatment and service than this. Took it to alterations express for $30 to try to fix what they could and they did a far better job and even steamed it. No idea how people are giving good reviews. This is supposed to be a great experience but I am looking back at pictures and just sick over it. Please think twice, because what’s done can’t be fixed. high cost doesn’t always mean good work and service.
