My partner and I were experiencing ongoing neglected issues with our new construction home so we decided to hire legal help. Amy Mathieu took on our case and I can not recommend her highly enough! We worked with Amy Mathieu on some water damage construction issues on our house, and we couldn't be happier we decided to get legal council with Amy. Before we sought representation, we felt we were not being heard by the builders even though there were clear signs of water infiltration through smell and visible mold Amy helped alleviate so much of the anxiety and stress, but also helped mediate between game plans between us and the builders. The conversations helped the builders to understand what we were going through, what this was doing to our house, and how this could diminish the value of the house, which we had hopes would be an investment for our future. She helped us with the steps: finding the right inspector, delivering the results to the builder, and creating a game-plan that helped us not only fix the water infiltration we knew the location to, but identify new sources as well, which are now also being fixed. We could not have gotten as far without Amy. We couldn't find anyone to listen to us, and when she came in, we finally felt heard. For the first time in 3 years of dealing with this, we feel like we are on the same team as the builder. Amy helped us get there. The house is slowly but surely getting fixed. My health is 100x better because they removed the main source of the mold and water issues, and are working on the others. I learned we didn't have to go through this alone, and we felt like Amy came in not only with a compassionate mindset for what we were going through, but with a determined and smart plan for achieving our goals. Amy is empathetic, compassionate, determined, and an incredible communicator, especially to someone like me who knows nothing about the legal world or construction world, and I am grateful for her.
