This is a great all-around place for cyclists, hikers, trail bike riders and ATVs. Many great photo ops.
Slick rock is located in this area as well as some higher trails for the aforementioned and, many campgrounds.
it is a fun place for families and groups of all kinds but, it's busy.
Word to the wise: bring water. You're going to get dehydrated. Stay thirsty my friends and have a great time exploring the Sand Flats Recreation Area. Have fun! I know you will, but seriously bring enough water.

Great campsites for large RVs. Access to some fun technical utv trails. And just above Moab proper so can ride right into town from camp.
If you like crazy 4X4 camping and adventure, come to Sand Flats Recreation Area in Grand County, Utah. If you don't like crazy 4X4 adventures and camping, look for a quieter spot.
