Wai Wai Chinese Cuisine

Wai wai is one of our favorite places.Called to ask if they were still delivering tonight. Gave my address and the girl said “we don’t deliver to the your area” I told her they’ve delivered here for years and never had a issue. She said they only deliver up to 3 miles. My house is 3.7 miles. We get their food delivered here at least 2 times a month and just had it delivered on Friday (2 days ago). I guess I’ll give my money to another place that will deliver to me with out argument.

Historically, Wai Wai has been my favorite restaurant for Chinese food. The food was good and affordable. I stopped in the other day for takeout and none of the workers were wearing a mask, and there was a young child running around barefooted, touching his feet and silverware, among other things. I likely won't be back - they are simply not taking the appropriate precautions during the pandemic, and likely weren't in the past either.

I used to order here regularly years ago and was always pleased with the quality of their food. They are no longer a go-to for me after today. Wai Wai's has gone downhill over the past 3 years. They have a Cantonese Noodle dish with noodle the operative word. However, they never give you enough noodles, so I must order extra and I am charged for these noodles an extra $1.50nfor something that probably costs them pennies. Their chicken on a stick used to be so yummy, now nowhere near what it once was. Their fried rices are flavorless and bland. They never give much sauce for dishes that have sauce. Again, you must order extra and pay for that as well. They are not consistent. Once in awhile something is okay. I order from them because the only alternative in Bloomfield is China House and some of their dishes aren't bad but many are not that good. Plus during this period of Covid, Wai Wai's still delivers when China House doesn't. I was craving Chinese today and took another chance and ordered from them. I expressed to the guy on the phone that most places that serve General Tso's chicken, give you hard, tough dry prices with a hard not crispy, coating. Usually a disappointment wherever I may order once in a while. I don't enjoy having to pay $2 for delivery. It is not worth it! The only think I like about this restaurant is the staff. They are always friendly. I almost forgot- the person who took my order today assured me that the General Tso's is fresh, cooked to order. No way was that cooked to order. I threw it out. A waste of money. Goodbye Wai Wai.

I ordered szechuan shrimp but ended up with disgusting general tso chicken with disgusting chicken and vegetables and dry fried rice they threw in two egg rolls either the dinner. Whatever B9 is Don’t waste your money especially during COVID.Nikki was rude and argumentative.

Super friendly guy took my order over the phone. I don’t eat chicken so they made “orange” shrimp. It was delicious!
