Pretty neat slice of history. Docked a star just because I wish there were more informational plaques and some blazes to follow. Definitely want to download the self-guided tour.

What a great find while out exploring! Who knew this was right here?? I highly recommend, just remember to print out the walking tour manual from the website first as there is no cell signal at all.

The parking lot off Bunkerhill Rd doesnt show you where the entrance is to Camp Michaux unless you happen to look to the right while you turn left on Bunkerhill. The entrance is across Michaux Road. Several couples were confused on where to start the self guided tour. The rest of the camp was interesting and had a few ruins to check out. Their map isn't very descriptive on how far apart place markers are. I'd suggest downloading the self guiding tour online and read as you go.

Number 1 first thing to do find the self guided walking tour PDF online before arriving. The 1 page map found in parking area telling you what the numbered posts represent do not do this place justice .The PDF does.It will tell you to go 20 paces north and so on to get to the next site .There was a clear trail most of the way we had trouble finding vesper hill .Be ready to spend an afternoon. It is very eye opening and mind boggling to realize this was all here at that time .

Fun woods to explore, lots of small paths that lead to ruins of old structures. Peaceful and room for imagining.
