Lee's Headquarters

The house is closed to the public. Parking next to the house. You can walk around and read the the informational signs. It is free. You can spend 30 minutes here. I did not see any porta potties or picnic tables.

Couldn't go inside to see the place ( covid-19)

Not having been to Gettysburg for a number of years I was surprised to see this place restored. I remember coming here for the first time in 1982. I believe there used to be a small motel and a restaurant and both are gone. The area was restored back to the way it would have looked during the battle. I didn't have a chance to go inside but I would have to say it was truly interesting to see it restored.

Awesome piece of history!

Great place to visit. To sit, stand, and walk around in the same house that General Robert E. Lee gave all orders for the battle was an experience. Since I was there 5 years ago, the new and improved house is much better.nThank you to everyone who contributed to restore this place of historic value
