This monument depicts Union Captain Henry Bingham offering assistance to Confederate Brigadier General Lewis Armistead after the latter had been mortally wounded in Picketts Charge. Both men were masons and this is a nice monument that shows the compassion that soldiers can have even towards their adversaries in the heat of battle. This is a newer battlefield monument, having been dedicated in August 1993.

Beautifully made monument located inside of Gettysburg cemetery.

Mason or not will enjoy the message. The Brotherhood of being a mason triumphed over the war. No matter the reason the bond between Brothers of the Fraternity wins over. Proud to be a MASON.

Being a Master Mason, this meant quite a bit...it shows that not even war can break the bonds of that Brotherhood.

Moving monuments to the Masonic brotherhood that was given over and over during the Civil War. This simple statue commenorates the lasting brotherhood that lies within the fraternity of Freemasonry.
