very helpful and friendly, the owner helped me get all my items together for my impression such as cartridge box and sling which he also helped me adjust. the leather items appear to be great quality and should see a good long life in the field. the other thing I purchased was the starter kit which has canteen and a haversack which I traded for tent stakes and the owner was flexible with the request and pricing. good service and better prices, will be back!

John was very helpful, even as I ordered from him online directly. The greatcoat I bought from him was of excellent quality, and appeared as described both from messages and photos provided. Compared to photographs of surviving original garments, the wool kersey weave of this coat looks extremely authentic. I would absolutely recommend doing business with him and The Maryland Sutler.
