If you are thinking of using Home Depot for special orders or installs I urge you to turn the other way and head to Lowes or, even better, your local mom and pop contractors. I recently ordered three new entry doors, three new storm doors plus the installation service. After spending over $4,500 I have nothing good to say about Home Depot’s of Hanover customer service. To keep a long story short the installation was delayed due to lack of communication on their part. I finally gave up on being the polite customer and had to call and inquire on the whereabouts of my doors. Than when installation day finally came the experience was very negative. On the entry door to the back yard I requested a pet door. Simple enough. The door salesman at Home Depot sold me a pet door meant specifically for interior doors but failed to tell me so. The pet door has zero insulation so that heat/cold can pass freely from inside the house to the outside and vice versa. I called to complain and was given such a run around by Jim from customer service. As of this writing Home Depot refuses to make this matter right. I am asking that the interior pet door be taken out and instead an exterior one be installed but no dice. Jim said that he will call to follow up and he never did. The door installer documented the pet door in his system and told me that someone will contact me, no one has. So now I am stuck with a pet door that leaks heat like a sieve and with winter coming I am left with no solution.

Our èxperience has been simpĺy, not good. We concluded one major efforrt by cancelling a 7600$ contract. I could get no help nor satisfaction in wanting to buy sinks and faucets and garbage disposals - totaled over 1300$..Hopèfully you will not have the same multi department frustrations. Now findìng what I need with little or no help is a few starß more!
