Cortez / Mesa Verde KOA Journey

Fantastic KOA. If you have a dog then bring them here! Staff was friendly and welcoming. The grounds are adjacent to a 3 acre fenced in municipal dog park. One of the best I’ve seen. Great location near the national park. We will go out of our way to return!

Nicely maintained campground with level sites and a beautiful view! Minus the error at check-in (not a full hook up site) they were able to accommodate the next morning only because another guest left was leaving early for an emergency, however, appeared others were available. With that said, once settled in and content (better view too) definitely would visit again.

The only issue...was one of their showers had mold in bottom of shower stall and had a worn , weak spot. No problems with getting a spot. Helpful staff. Neat and clean camping area.

This was my first KOA experience. Clean and very simple to navigate. My stay was a last minute decision but I was happy I did. They have a large dog area for my buddy to run around in. Everything worked.

Awesome place! Clean, well kept, frieldly and informative staff. Located away from road with lovely views of mountain sides that let you know you are in Colorado. Conviently located to Mesa Verde NP.
