This is a great hike for most skill levels. We took our 6 and 11 year old kids and they did well. Most of the hike is easy, on a groomed trail, but the last part leading up to the waterfall requires climbing over big rock slide areas. We loved it but it does require scaling over the boulders that can become a bit slippery. The scenery is stunning, the waterfall is incredible and there are a lot of shady areas to sit and take a water/snack break. Enjoy!

Easy trail path and short trail. Picnic tables throughout the beginning part of the trail to relax and enjoy what is around. Weather was not a factor to be able to access the trail and make it all the way to the waterfall. Would do again.

I love the trees of any forest, so getting to hike trails with them is a wow factor for me, and there's water flowing too. There's a little scrambling up rocks, and trail is pretty short and easy. Waterfalls are always beautiful! There was a little more than a trickle, and you could stand under it to cool off from the hike

My family loved this hike. On our way up to the waterfall, another group had come down the trail and said that they hoped that we had more luck than they did, because they didn't find the waterfall. Once the regular trail "ends" - you have to drop down into the riverbed and scramble up a few rocks. Totally doable with kids and my kids loved it. Loved the little caves that had water dribbling over the edges.

Amazing hike to a gorgeous waterfall! The end of the trail has been washed away after the fire in 2017, so you have to hike along the creek at the end. Our kids are 4, 6, and 10 were able to do it with help. A few areas of rock climbing.
