Honestly I was really excited to try out Pilates for the first time but they scared me off before I even scheduled a class. I got about 3 texts and 3 voicemails within a few days asking if I was still interested in signing up for a free intro class with them. The pushyness and sales approach is exactly what has pushed me away from joining places in the past and now I don’t even want to bother going there because I don’t want to get more pressure from them. This is not a good business technique or strategy in any manner. I understand a first phone call but from that point forward, anything else seems pushy and sales based. I will now be trying somewhere else.nnUPDATE: After the owner replied to my google review about talking to the staff about not bombarding with phone calls, I got ANOTHER text and voicemail from this business. Please take me off your list!

Oh my goodness! We had a Pilates Party last night with Amber and we all had the best time! Amber was able to guide and support the people who were new while challenging those of us who are experienced with Pilates. We weren't sure what to expect ahead of time but everyone was so pleased when they left. So much fun! Thank you!!!

My experience with the Belmar studio is lovely. Aja (who sadly is no longer with the studio) and Lucie are my favorite instructors. Lucie is very knowledgeable, her instructions are detailed, and she takes the time to make sure forms are correct and we’re doing it the right way. I saw some negative feedback about other instructors and I somewhat agree that I don’t like one or two of them but I think each instructor has their styles of teaching pilates. I took classes with different instructors to find the one I like and then stick to that person. With pilates, you have to progress slowly from level 1 to 1.5 to 2 since it’s easy to get injured if level is skipped. They explained that very carefully when I signed up my membership. They also require 2 or 3 months of commitment to see the difference and you have to give them 30-day cancellation notice, all of which have been made clear when I signed up. The management listens to feedback and is accommodating. Rob, the location GM, is pleasant to work with. The location is clean and they take extra efforts to clean between classes. Parking is easy. Strongly recommend!

They scared me off before I showed up.nI received 3 emails 3 text messages and 1 phone call in 4 days prior to showing up and then another phone call after cancelling. This doesn't sit well with me and I didn't find it appropriate. I never requested this amount of contact. A doctor's office doesn't contact you this much!

Was really excited about this place! Feeling sore in the best places a girl could dream of, ha... but getting into my car for my third or fourth class there and received a call stating I wasn’t allowed to do the class. Way to take the wind out if a girl’s sails... still digesting this one. Read the class description, people!!! They will make you feel old and crippled in a heart beat... at the most inopportune time.nnIn response - 20 minutes prior seems a bit short notice. I had changed my schedule specificity for this class. Safety is clearly your top priority, just bad timing. Thanks for the introduction! I do like the concept.
