Luke's, A Steak Place

I was so excited to get a prime New York strip...I ordered it med rare, it came rare...not a huge deal but for a $40 steak I except it to be perfect. The chef forgot to season the steak, there were only 2 pepper corns on it. And the grill clearly was not hot enough. No sear at all. Not only will I not come back, but im sorry I spent $40 on this...when a $20 outback strip would have been much MUCH better!

Update: Management has contacted us and appears to be taking our concern seriously which we greatly appreciate. We have modified our star rating as we have no desire to hurt this business especially in these difficult times we simply wanted to create awareness for the management as to the issue. Original post: We are huge fans of Luke's and when we got a sitter for the first time in 6 months, this was our choice for a dinner date. The food was good, as always, however the environment caused us to leave before even finishing our meal. There was a person sitting about two table lengths away from us who appeared to be a friend of an employee (we later found out this person is a regular). This person was not dining or drinking, just hanging out on their cell phone talking to employees (which we could have cared less about), but throughout our time she was sneezing, coughing and clearing her throat to an obnoxious level. We attempted to ignore the annoyance, but after we began eating it was just too much to bear and we both lost our appetite. We reported our concerns to the waitress as we were asking for our check and to leave immediately, and I was disappointed no management was brought over to try and remedy the situation, no effort to discount our bill was made, despite it being obvious we only ate maybe half of our meal and were leaving quite displeased with the experience. I am only posting this review so hopefully the people in charge over there can get the feedback. We were not necessarily concerned about COVID, it was more the principle of that person not stepping outside or getting a drink of water or something to not make their presence so unpleasant. As we left the restaurant, the regular and an employee were smoking cigarettes out front of the restaurant, leaving the final impression of a lack of professionalism and a lack of effort to ensure customers have a positive experience. It was a shame as we do truly enjoy this restaurant, but not expecting to return any time soon.

It was alright, over priced and the proportions were small compared to other stake houses.

Have been going here for a long time. Quality of service as well as quality of food has drastically gone downhill. You're better off going next door and ordering wings from the tap bar.nnA

Awesome atmosphere with very friendly staff and owner. This is a great local joint worth supporting over any of the nearby chains. We'll be back!!
