KETTLE FALLS CAMPGROUND

Great place was busier than previous seasons.

This is a beautiful camp ground right on lake Roosevelt. There are several swimming holes nearby and the boat launch in camp is very nice. Dogs are welcome here which is always a plus. The sites are large and level, and flush bathrooms that are cleaned regularly. This is one of my favorites me and my family will be annual visitors for sure.

Take our review for what it's worth this time of year: We are the only long-term campers. No campground hosts. Hunters come and go every few days. Young people party over the weekend, but vacate quickly. The utility worker assigned to the park delivered us a small load of firewood and told us where he'd cut up a dead tree (yay!). A ranger cruises through a couple times daily, so can address problems of noisy nighttime campers, but not much else. Bring your own potable water and TP. Otherwise, peaceful.

Great campground for large or small groups. Clean bathrooms and dumpsters. Mosquitos were RnTERRIBLE I would highly recommend bug spray and citronella candles. Our kids loved to ride their bikes around the camp loop all day. There are definitely no beaches so hard with kids who want to swim and play in the sand.

One of the best campsites ever! Dining on the Columbia River. Water was ice cold! Perfect for the 100 degree day during our visit!
