I dont climb, but I enrolled my daughter (5 years old) in Earth Treks Jr Climbing Program. My daughter loved it! The instructors were great, very safe, very good with kids. We'll enroll my son as soon as he is old enough.

Dropped in on a day pass. Context: I only climb in the gym when I can’t climb outside, and in the gym I only boulder. The bouldering area was pretty large and kept me busy for the 3-4 hours I was there, even considering a few areas were closed for new route setting. Good number of problems at my ability level. The setting felt like it would make you stronger for outdoors and I appreciated that it was not “indoor comp style” (i.e. silly dynos and parkour tricks). Only downside is they only have one Tension board (G1 climbing has both Tension and Kilter board). They have 2 other spray boards that are adjustable but you’d be making up and memorizing your own problems. Would be nice to see them get a Kilter or Moon board. I didn’t check out the roped climbing but there was certainly a lot of it.

Great gym overall the staff were friendly for the most part. Lots of good top rope and lead climbing walls although I mostly boulder they were fun for a change. They have a tension board and a very small hangboard/training area which wasn’t amazing but definitely got the job done. No pinch blocks or grippuls for training but a nice workout area. The boulders were pretty nice and fun to climb even in the harder grade ranges they seemed thoughtful and intentional. The mats were nice and pretty comfortable and the temperature was good.

Great covid policy to freeze memberships and discount purchases. Sadly though don't expect clean holds / walls / updated climbs. Bouldering routes where left up from March (5 months), kind of wish they took the gym closure as an opportunity to clean all the holds and walls and set fresh climbs, this was not the case.
