MAS KAOS Pizzeria & Taqueria

We ate here while sitting on the Call to Arms patio. It was great that we ordered from them and they walked it out to our table. Overall the food was good, I would say the pizza is better than the tacos. The pizza is very thin crust and the sauce and cheese is great. The crust is woodfire so you get the crispy black edges but very soft in the center. The tacos were a little hit and miss. The queso y frijoles and carnitas were delicious but the asada and Al pastor were just okay. They used canned pineapple on the Al pastor which was disappointing and they aren't homemade tortillas. I would say worth a try but don't have high expectations.

pizza and the scene at this location is great. I often meet people here to talk. Looking forward to a return visit. The place has a good atmosphere. Reminds me of a cafe in Chicago I loved to visit.

I give them three stars based on the added sum of what they used to be pre covid, and now (pre covid 4.8 post 2). I have eaten here better than 20 times this last year alone. The service is amazing, staff super nice and very attentive. The food used to be way way way better. I will blame covid for the lack of quality with the tacos. The meats--any of them--had the flavor of something that was boiled too long and then shredded. A.) This is not what a carne asada is, B.) They boiled the al pastor and shredded it... C.) The carnitas were dry.nnI get that covid is making changes to menus. But I also don't get to go out as much and want a quality meal that I can't make better at the house. The tacos were on par with taco bell. The pizza...Mas Kaos used to make one of the better pizzas on Tennyson. It was a sleeper favorite. Better than hops and pie--who has pie in their namesake! I've ordered most of the pies. I settled on the Sin City tonight because I wanted a comfort food and it is normally on freaking point. Ingredients changed, was not satisfying at all. Flavors were off, solid disappointment. I'm good with change, but this was clearly a move to cheaper toppings.nnOverall I felt like I wasted my calorie intake for the day. My take away from the post covid Mas Kaos: service and staff were still amazing, food was made with sub par main ingredients with the accompaniments to those being the stars. I will be giving them a few more months before trying again, since I only get to eat out once every now and again, and I want something at least priced for what I'm tasting. Still a fan. Just gonna wait.nnI saw they narrowed their menu, most likely for cost, very smart. However, what they kept should be of the highest quality, otherwise hello King Soopers
