Seriously the best staff and environment ever!Everyone there makes you feel at home! They are very knowledgeable and talented! They listen to your questions and concerns and address them effectively! Would highly recommend to anyone needing physical therapy! If you don’t need physical therapy and you just need a mood booster, a smile or a good laugh make an appointment ud83dude0a
I started doing physical therapy with Rob and Ryan last September. Due to an accident that occurred earlier in the summer, I was using a walker when I started physical therapy. I wasn't even walking on my right leg. Since September until now, they have been working on getting me walking again. I progressed from a walker, to a cane and am now able to walk unaided. I am still continuing to work on my gait and range of motion with their assistance. I really appreciate all the help I have received from everyone at Sumner and highly recommend them to anyone that needs physical therapy or a training facility. They also make my workouts and therapy a lot of fun. I am transitioning over to using their training for a customized workout that they have come up with and expect that I will continue to do well with their assistance.
So about a year ago I tore my meniscus and ACL in my left leg while playing volleyball. I have played club, high school and college volleyball so I have had a few injuries and I know from experience that physical therapy is a huge part of recovery. I was new to the area at the time that I had my surgery so my surgeon recommended me to Sumner Specialized Physical Therapy. I know PT is usually a long, tedious, and painful experience for most but you have to do it because it makes a world of difference in your recovery and your longevity of your body. So if you need PT, I highly recommend going to Sumner. I would have never made it through this year without them. I have never been to a physical therapy place where the staff cares so deeply about the person they're treating. Their facility is clean and has everything you could need. Plus, they just add a new gym space for workouts and athletic exercises. The staff is knowledgeable and extremely friendly. I felt that they set realistic goals and timelines for my recovery. I actually looked forward to going to PT every week because they made the atmosphere so fun and they were so encouraging. They were always willing to work with my schedule and have always gone above and beyond to help me with my recovery. Please consider them, you wont regret it!
I first saw Rob Sumner my sophomore year of high school after I suffered an avulsion fracture to my tibial tuberosity which also caused numerous knee complications. After 3 knee surgeries and spending 3 months in a leg brace, my left leg muscles had atrophied to the point where I could barely hold my own body weight. Being an athlete and playing sports all my life, I was afraid that I would never be able to get back the muscles and agility I once had. Then I met Rob Sumner. Not only did Rob help build back all the muscle mass I had lost, but by the time I finished physical therapy I was stronger, faster, and more agile than ever before. His personality and passion for helping others made each appointment a fun, hardworking, and educational session. Rob went above and beyond his duty as a physical therapist in helping me. He would stay late to wait for me to finish up an exercise or he would invite me to an early 6 a.m. pick-up basketball game to help me build my confidence back up. Rob truly cares for his patients health and well being. I highly recommend him to anyone who is in need of physical therapy.
Im a very active 40 something year old woman and last March I had my ACL replaced. I was referred to Rob Sumner by a friend and it was the wisest choice I made for my recovery. I have had injuries in my past and went through Physical therapy, but never has my recovery journery been so genuinely and authentically supported as it has been with Rob and his AMAZING CREW (Mackenzie, Nick, Ryan, and Janelle). They are all truley inspiring and motivating. Their knowledge of the physical body is endless. And another note, which I think is important, is that they kept me accountable in my own therapy and advised me to not go over board when I wanted to do things I was not ready for. I think this supoort and honesty kept me aware and away from reinjuring myself. I am now done with the physical therapy persay but have signed up to continue training and building strength in their new gym... It's like having a personal trainer who Really Knows You and Cares. I am not a big fan of exercise gyms but I love the energy and accessibility of their gym and look foward to working out with my custom plan. I have and continue to recommend Sumner Therapy to anyone dealing with pain or injuries... My husband sees them aswell and they have become like family to us... So Much GRATITUDES for Rob and his crew who help the world of injuries!! PS.... Rob and his Crew are sooo much fun, you will Love going to therapy and will laugh Alot... Wonderful experience every time!!
