I have eaten here more than any other restaurant in the Denver Metropolitan area. This is one of those rare gems which hits all three of the major awesome categories: cheap, fast, and good. Average wait time is about eight minutes every time I order. I stuff two people full for less than fourteen dollars. In the past they had some issue with the cashier being a bit rude, but they have gotten a couple new women to run the front and they are fantastic. Food is always hot and fresh. Burritos are tasty, fat, and cheap. Their tamales and enchiladas come in two levels of heat, with the hotter of the two being scorching. Their prices are especially amazing during Monday and Tuesday.nnAuthentic Tex-Mex flavors are really hard to find here. This place is one of the closest to Tex-Mex style I have found.

This place is good... Has relleno tacos and they tasted pretty good. A pricey for what I got but in comparison to a similar restaurant's it was fair in price and made up for this in quality of food. Had similar experiences when I simply didn't enjoy what I got elsewhere.nnMy friend suggested this place to me and he exclaimed bro they call it the tamale kitchen for a reason. Go there for tamales next time! They are definitely affordable and speak for themselves.

More expensive than my regular Mexican place (la cocinita) and the food was barely edible. Chili rellanos burrito special just was a load of refried beans and a pepper, the soft chilli rellanos is a disgrace to the food, just a breaded pepper covered in sauce. I'm fairly certain the enchilada is just a tortilla wrapped up and covered in sauce. I threw it all away. I couldn't bring myself to eat more than a few bites. My friend had taco bell and that tasted way better. I had such high hopes. I got 3 tamales for tamale Tuesday, haven't tried them yet, but don't have my hopes up. I'm very disappointed I spent almost $20 on inedible food.

I usually order from the Lakewood Tamale kitchen which is awesome. This one is AWFUL and I really feel like I wasted my money. Also, they should not be calling their carne asada fries that because it's literally ground beef. Like taco bell status. I would have ordered the green chile fries if I knew I'd be getting beef taco meat. And their breakfast burritos are really pathetic compared to the Lakewood ones. Oh and they forgot my drinks. Waste of money.
