Prob my favorite of all the climbing gyms in Denver. Huge variety of setting choices, even plenty of fun options for beginners. The walls here offer great variety with some slab, corners, ledges... so lots beyond just flat. There are some reviews complaining about staff, I've always found the staff extremely friendly and helpful both to myself as a lead climber, but also friendly to my beginner friends who are just visiting for the first time. Also this gym is serious about masks, I cancelled my Planet Fitness membership because they weren't serious, but kept my Earthtreks membership active because ET is committed to safety.
Huge! PLAYGROUND! amazing! The routes are fun with lots of variation and there are so many climbs. Most gyms use most of the space for bouldering or sport, one or the other. This gym has both and more than anyone could come close to climbing in one session. The setting has lots of variety and they regularly set v12+/- which draws a strong crowd while still being very beginner friendly. Great place, super clean. Only change I have been hesitant with is the new range grades,
Quick response when I called. Ally was super hospitable and made the interaction fun and light! What is needed in these weird times! Thank you all and I won't forget doughnuts next time I'm inud83eudd17
Like Earth Treks Golden, this place is phenomenal! I have been coming to this location for over a year and a half and it never ceases to amaze me. This gym is gigantic- the bouldering area could be it's own gym, the lead and top rope walls are so tall and steep! Pre-COVID, this gym was immaculate, and their current policies with cleaning and masks have ensured that I feel as safe as ever. There's one more thing about the Earth Treks gyms that I must mention- the staff. The staff are the friendliest, most helpful climbing gym staff I've encountered. They're stoked on climbing, and they're stoked for you to climb too, no matter the grade you're sending. This place gets ALL the stars!
This gym is beautiful and incredibly wonderful in all ways, except for the people. The workers are hit or miss, several are very rude and unkind. Actively working on avoiding any of the the gym users, and ignoring questions while walking away.nnMost of the climbers that often attend here, aren't really regulars, most individuals happen to be people passing through Denver and just want to try climbing out. While this at first sounds appealing, you quickly realize the regular pool of individuals you can meet, have worked hard on distancing themselves. With a lot of them being elitists in this sport, if you're not capable or take too long on a wall they get frustrated and passive-aggressive. I even had an individual who told me it was rude to cross over him, when I had started climbing the route before him.nnI've been going here regularly for 6 months, and have made a total of 2 friends and about 20 acquaintances. While at first I thought it was a me problem, I met others who have had trouble and ended up going to another gym.nnIt must just be the level of gym this is, the whole elitist attitude from the people who attend this gym display doesn't find a home with me, especially when you bring your kids and just let them sit unsupervised the whole time.nnI honestly could forgive all of this if they just had auto-belays where I could climb with myself, but they don't. They have told me on multiple occasions the lawyer team has decided that auto-belays puts too much pressure on them to potentially be liable if one were to fail. Which is really a shame.
