Sun Cove Resort

Showed up and despite having multiple signs saying they were open, no one was to be seen. A woman in a robe (it was around noon) and no shoes was not helpful. The number listed on the website and sign was disconnected, we found another number through Google but no one answered. The place seemed pretty disgusting overall and we saw tent sites nowhere, seemed like mostly long term campers in small rvs. We found a nice camping place on one of the other nearby lakes instead.

The owners were not organized at all. The sign with pricing indicates that they overcharged us. We had two different people tell us they were grabbing the check in paperwork (which in the 12 hours we were there, we never recieved). The park itself was a complete mess with random furniture thrown about. The tent locations were randomly scattered around the park. Quiet hours were not enforced at all. Bathrooms were locked from 10pm until 7am which made an early departure difficult. I wanted to leave as soon as we arrived.

Spent the 4th of July here for a bbq, boating, swimming, camping, fishing and fun at the resort with family and friends. Rented a couple of the cabins, couple of the RV's while some stayed in tents. The resort appeared full yet plenty of room for practicing social distancing. I appreciated that so many guests including owners were wearing masks. Owners were on site and were saw frequently tending the resort.

Was not unpleasant but definately not worth $40 a night. Dock is dangerous for younger kids and not well maintained. Basically your staying in someones junky backyard.

Great quiet place to relax and get some peacefulness. Good fishing with nice folks to chat with all around a good experience.
