It’s nothing fancy but it is a nice, spacious, convenient RV park. The river frontage is lovely with plenty of room to walk and enjoy the scenery. Maybe noisy for sensitive sleepers with the 1-5 on one side and a train on the other side of the river but I slept fine. Extremely friendly and helpful staff let us trade spots after a cancellation to a better river front spot. Good value, nice grounds and helpful staff!

Over the last few weeks we have stayed at several RV parks in the Redding area. We are a family of 5 making the move to Redding from the California Central Valley. Getting through the home sale and rental process has had us living in the RV we usually use for vacation travel. During our relocation process we have stayed at JGW several times and it is our favorite RV park in Redding. I can’t give it 5 stars because our 3 kids have struggled to have enough internet to complete their distance learning due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The usual woman in the office that we have dealt with has been gracious, kind, and accommodating (unfortunately I cannot recall her name but she has shoulder length dark brown hair). The park has always looked clean and safe. The pool is small but nice and has never been crowded. During our first stay we chose a river front site and it was great! During our stay we met a couple from Washington that makes a regular trip down here every year for the sun and atmosphere at JGW. They too agreed about WiFi issues and warned me about “Spike.” It turns out she is the older woman with short white hair that also works in the office. She can be very rude we both agreed and is likely the reason other customers have complained in their reviews.

Wonderful ! The front lady has been very helpful and friendly. We even asked for a extra night and they help us out. It’s a very quiet camp ground and clean. It looks like it could be good for groups but I would ask. Lots of room between rigs. Lots of shade for hot days. Cute little pool on site. Really nice dog park. Happy camper will be back. Easy to find too.

Stopped overnight in a motorhome. Plenty of space for us. Quiet, clean, and wonderful rv stop. River was nice to walk by. Clean bathroom with plenty room. Will come back.
