It's one of the hidden gems of Sacramento! I do not advise bringing small children or pets unless they are on a leash, because of the occasional Sacramento Geese attacks. 5/5 for a fun beach day. 1/5 for the Geese.

Very beautiful area, but one of the dirties places I have been to. If you plan on going here, remember if you can pack it in you surely can pack it out. Don't leave your trash!

Great spot to bring the family! Current is strong so make sure kids have life jackets, which they provide. Short walk from the parking lot. Perfect amount of sand and enough room to social distance. Parking only $3.00.

A nice little spot to cool off...paid parking and fee depends on how long you intend to stay. I am not a swimmer so I had to keep a closer eye on my children for those sudden drops in elevation but overall I felt comfortable enough to let them play...to be safe always have life vests on your children (and you if you'te not a swimmer like me)...down side of this place are the boats and ski boats that come by...sometimes they get too close.

Great place for fishing and very dog friendly! My dog was very happy here, and was running around like he was a puppy.
