It's nice, conveniently located between downtown and old town. The major downside is a bunch of Bums were camping out which makes me question how kid friendly it is

Very nice setting. A lot of vendors. Good hatch chili for sale. Roasted and ready for sale. We need a lot more events like this. Covid 19 permitted.

Beautifully laid out urban park in the cultural heart of Albuquerque and convenient for many to show up on Saturday's, for the farmer's market, to buy goods ranging from organic snacks for the proud parents, to local brews and things for the adventurous, to roaming random provocateurs to keep it edgy and thriving. The patina on the copper statue dedicated to a local hero and native legend is particularly fetching as are the occasional needles and other random objects left behind by the city's most underserved. Urbanity is difficult, especially these days, and this park demonstrates the modern American city's struggle to balance the moving parts, especially pertaining to monitoring and policing people. This said, the park, cafes and architecture and 'feel' that surround the area of the park are simply breathtaking in a heavy handed design approach that reflects on the complexity of the ancient history that is the American Southwest. I highly recommend, but if you get fluff led easily, or are easy to scold or pass judgement on others over frivolity.....you might wanna stick to the air conditioned indoor mall outside of downtown...or....on the other end, find a less family friendly environ to meet your specific needs. Life is complicated, this park is greater than that...and I pray it stands proudly at least a thousand more years. Cheers to the HEROES!

All the benches are taken up by homeless people they're camped out maybe about 10 or 12 month but the park should be better than this
