Go to a class at Warrior Yoga and you'll soon find why there are so many of us who gladly call this place our second home. I used to hate yoga, until I started taking Lorie's classes. Warrior Yoga classes are all heated in a 90 degree room (you'll get used to it ;) ) and last an hour and fifteen minutes. The environment is a place of no judgment and no fear. All ages and levels are welcome with open arms by some of the most humble teachers and other students alike. The classes are challenging and designed to bring us out of our comfort zones in a great way. Imagine first getting hit by the heat, you breathe through it but then you realize the poses are not so easy either. You'll be challenged to go deeper and you'll feel it physically and mentally, but you leave feeling so much lighter. All classes are donation based, come as you are and give what you can, with a suggestion of $13. This is awesome for classes like this especially if you're like me and not dripping with cash. If you're on the fence, have ever thought of giving yoga a try, or maybe just need to try something new or stretch out your muscles with an active recovery day, don't pass this place up. You will not be disappointed. I'm so glad I have been brought into the Warrior Yoga community, and hope you give us the chance to drag you in too.

This is the kind of place where you feel like you are a part of something bigger than yourself. Warrior Yoga isn't just about the amazing physical practice of yoga, but also about community, helping each other grow, building each other up, and self-acceptance. When I walk into a class at Warrior Yoga, I notice that people talk to each other, laugh, play on their mats (already excited for a practice), and the teacher greets each person that comes through the door. There's real connection here.nnI have seen this Baptiste-inspired practice transform people's lives. I have experienced this for myself too. Not only do I accept myself and my body so much more fully than I did before, but I love myself exactly as I am and as I am not. It's all about getting all the junk out of the way that this world likes to tell us about ourselves; Warrior Yoga is a safe place to clear that junk. I have torn down a lot of walls that I struggled to hold up around my heart in this place. The results of a regular yoga practice at Warrior Yoga are this: a more flexible and strong body as well as a more flexible and strong spirit.nnI would recommend Warrior Yoga to ANYONE. No matter the skill level, age, body type: this place is for everyone.

I love this place. It has inspired so much personal growth and development inside of my life and career this past semester. It has been a fabulous out-lit for me to live my life and love it. I would encourage you to go on days you feel: great, low, daring, scared, overwhelmed, courageous, tired, drained, tempted, and alive. A place that adapts to all levels. You'll feel the burn and refreshed ;)

From the moment you walk in the door, you are greeted with a buzzing atmosphere of community. The teachers are always welcoming and they truly care for your experience. My favorite part about Warrior Yoga is that I can make my yoga practice whatever I want it to be. If you are a veteran yogi or have never even tried yoga, consider visiting Warrior Yoga. You won't regret it! I have been going there for about 10 months and I still love the practice, the people, and they are truly a second family.
