There used to be more privacy for each gender at the old location. Everything seems so squished together now. I was expecting this new location to be bigger and better kind of a let down.
It was soooooo good to be able to swim again. My husband has Alzheimer's and this activity is huge in keeping him engaged, especially with all this no contact on place.
The facility is really nice. It's busy near constantly, but it's a new year so that's to be expected. I just wish PARENTS would be more respectful and considerate of others. It's completely normal to see a child of 6 or 7 plopped onto a piece of exercise equipment, moving it slowly and watching cartoons, while adults actually wanting to work out on the equipment are unable to.
A warm welcome and accepting environment is what I found here! The new YMCA in Everett was designed and constructed without consideration for reality- period. I would leave it at that, but the staff need recognition.nThe carry over staff are amazing people.
