Upon walking through the doors, you feel a warm welcome from the staff and teachers at Well Sonoma. An awesome group of teachers and wellness practitioners, I would recommend to anyone looking for wellness services in Sonoma County!

YogaOne is an amazing family of teachers, healers, and friends. I interviewed with owner, Deacon Carpenter, four years ago on the couch in the lounge and the authenticity and comfort we shared in that first meeting continues to permeate the entire adventure.nnThe space is comfy and creates a genuine community vibe. There’s a guitar and personal library across from the receptionist’s desk. At times, the display bowl is full of local produce to share after class!nnThe receptionists have all been organized and informed about the studio and events. ALL the health practitioners have been amazing! Massage, Accupuncture, Reiki, and Yoga have been a true experience!nnI have felt completely supported in my growth as a teacher and a student. The owner and staff have always supported my workshops, classes, and self-care. If you’ve ever wondered about what a Wellness Studio is, have no doubt, this is the place!

I attended the Yoga session at Bricoleur Vineyards. Amazing experience. The best way to wind down on a Friday, or in my case wind up for the Iron Man. Deacon did an incredible job leading us and his added humor made the hour fly by. The wine at the end was the perfect touch to finish the night off. Thanks guys!!

This Yoga Studio and assortment of amazing practionizers is so much more than just a business that you go to and then leave. This place has become a family and a refuge in the good times and the bad. I started working here about 4 years ago, and as I grew as a staff member and person, I transioned into teaching about 3 years ago. The support that I have received not just from Deacon and the other teachers, but also from students through constructive feedback and relentless love and encouragement, and just purely so much faith that didn't leave any room for self doubt to stay too long, is something I will cherish always. Through teaching I met some of the most amazing teachers, and some of the most amazing students; through taking classes I had the opportunity to connect deeper with other wondeful fellow students, besides whom I still practice, sweat, get stronger, go through ups and downs multiple times a week. It's a soothing feeling to know who you will most likely see in class, it's how community is build. I couldn't be happier to have walked into the studio all those years ago, and started my journey with Deacon and everybody else. I couldn't be more grateful to have the opportunity to participate in the community that Well Sonomo has created. It's my rock and my sanity keeper in times of chaos when college, life and everything else gets overwhelming.nIf you haven't checked it out yet, I highly recommend you do, you won't regret it. There's classes for all levels, and you will feel safe and supported every step of the way.

I took a class with Deacon and it felt fantastic. Deacon brings yoga in a way that is accesible for everybody, whether a beginner or experienced student.nHe instructs with precision and offers different ways to get into a posture so that one can connect, stretch, strengthen, feel better regardless of their level.nnHis no nonsense, “not holier than thou” approach to teaching yoga is something that I always appreciate.nThe studio is classy and inviting. I like lounging at the lobby while sipping tea and enjoying the peaceful and friendly atmosphere.nnWhat its like to teach at the studio?nnI landed in Santa Rosa not knowing much about the studio. I contacted Deacon via instagram while I was still living in Uruguay expressing my desire to offer classes in Spanish.nI demoed a class and he hired me. Fast forward one year I teach two classes in Spanish at the studio. I have regular students that never practiced before and they are growing in their practice and creating wellbeing from the inside out.nI have a mix of young students and also in their sixties.nThis space has provided me the support necessary to find my voice as a teacher and to expand the offering of yoga to the Latinx community or anyone that’s interested in practicing in Spanish.nnInclusivity is something that I’m very interested in. As an immigrant myself I sometimes still experience the challenges of feeling comfortable in environments where english is spoken. But WEll+Sonoma is different. Because it’s a place that makes special emphasis in embracing ALL in a very natural way. It’s a super inclusive studio, and my hope and dream is that we can continue to break stereotypes. Yoga is really a beautiful way of taking care of ourselves and connecting to something larger than us.
