We met our son and his family here, but we arrived a good 45 min. before they arrived. The somelier who poured our tasting flights was super friendly and also uber knowledgeable of all the wines and soil types of Mauritson's different varietals wines.nnOur friendly wine guide told us Mauritson owned 9 different tracts of land where they have their vineyards. Each type of soil favors a certain type of wine grape.nnHe immersed me in the whole wine-making process-more info than I could even digest. He also wasn't shy about loading our glasses during the tastings. We bought a couple bottles of Zinfandel here, ones that pleased our palettes most-but we liked all the Mauritson wines.nnBy the time my son & his family arrived, we were feelin' pretty good! We then watched the grand kids, while my son & his wife did their tastings. Our young grandsons raced around the huge grass lawn out in front of the Mauritson Tasting Room Building. Great wines, and super friendly folks behind the counter. My wife and I loved this place, as did my son & his wife.

We just got back from a weekend in Napa/Sonoma and Mauritson Winery was one of my favorite tastings. Everything from the booking experience with Leigh to the wine tasting with Angelina was perfect. The setting is gorgeous and the story of Clay and the family is interesting.nnIt was my graduation weekend but my ceremony was cancelled because of Covid-19. I had told this to Leigh when booking and she had obviously made some notes because there was a personalized tasting menu - a cute keepsake in itself and they also had a gift bag for me!nnThe picnic bag of cheese/crackers/fruit/nuts was such a cute touch too and different from anywhere else we went to. They really went above and beyond. I’m enjoying my bottle of Rockpile Zin as I write this and I can’t wait to visit again. Thank you!

We went to visit this winery on Saturday, Oh my, what an experience! Huge kudos, hugs and kisses to BRIAN, what a fun, knowledgeable guy, you rock...Love, the Aussie Sheila:) All jokes aside, their wines are fabulous, we walked away with a bunch. Thanks for introducing us to some wonderful wines and fun times with Brian:) We will definitely be back.....
