Loved our tour guide Kathy! The kids were so keyed in, and she knew exactly how to lead a large group. She was informative and thoughtful. She was sensitive to important issues and gave realistic information regarding the tribes who owned and cultivated the land before Vallejo came to the area.

Vallejo lived in this house from 1852 until his death in 1890, and given the significance of this general, statesman, and public figure to California's history, the home is a California Historical Landmark. It is No.4 in the series. Unfortunately, the commemorative plaque, placed in the front garden, is rather rudimentary and not of the more common shape and size.
