Beautiful little town. Old mission is beautiful and takes you back in time. You can have an ice cream and walk around the square. Nice little shops as well.
California wine country is simply amazing. Sonoma Plaza condenses that experience into a walking tour that can be navigated in a single afternoon. Sonoma Plaza features world class wines, amazing restaurants (The Girl and the Fig is a must!!!) a couple of historical landmarks, shops and a few surprises. Sonoma Plaza is beautiful in its own. Arranged as a very walkable square, the center of the plaza is filled with trees and contains a small playground to help keep younger kids happy. Shops and restaurants surround the trees. Free parking is available, but expect a shortage of parking during busy seasons. Sonoma Plaza is not a substitute for visiting actual vineyards, but should be viewed as a destination it's own right. Sonoma Plaza is about 30 minutes away from Napa downtown, which offers it's own unique experience in a more urban setting. Call ahead for reservations especially during COVID-19 restrictions.
Love it
Big nice shaded park with lots of picnic tables and benches, surrounded by local stores and restaurants and historical sites. Great place for picnics.nA few pop-up restaurants, including the girl and the fig, inside the park, that offer brunch, regular menu items and happy hour cocktails and wines.
The Sonoma Plaza is always lovely. I go for the wine, food, shopping and history. An excellent pitsop for those traveling to our famous wine country, and a fun place for locals to enjoy again and again!
