Great trail to ride your bike, walk, and run. Trial connects to the Santa Rosa trial rode my bike from downtown Santa Rosa to the Barlow in Sebastopol. Always multiple people out. There are some unique people on the trail everyone is polite and stay to themselves. No lights on the path or public restrooms.
We ride this trail to Sebastopol a couple times a week. It's kept clean and maintained well. It's also a beautiful trail with benches along the way to stop and enjoy a snack or have a quiet conversation. It can get busy so be sure to be safe on the trail.
It's Home..and safe to come here.. Homeless people aren't going to get you nor will you become homeless..it's not contagious. I was Married for 20 years dedicated to my family..he abandoned me. Im disabled and waiting for SSI.I'm not a drug addict or a criminal. I deserve to be treated as before, and Im not a criminal because I don't have an income and unable to work. I am allowed to EXIST in peace and safety free from harassment and jail by police+ hate fueled people that are housed but heartless.
A formerly a useful and decent trail, but is currently closed, due to human fecal contamination, rodent infestation, and litter.nSonoma County officials have failed to enforce no camping laws, and the trail has become functionally unusable for the general population- especially young people, and those living with compromised immune systems.nI have terminal cancer and 2 young sons, so it is a bitter shame, that even after paying Sonoma County's relatively high property taxes for decades, I cannot utilize this valuable and expensive public resource, for the wellness of myself, my children, and the environment.nI have already witnessed the trail be rehabilitated, after last year's 6 week trail closure to clear campers' waste, only to see so much labor wasted and work destroyed in just a few weeks time, by allowing camping, immediately afterwards.nI rarely see law enforcement personnel on the trail, but if I do, it's only to respond to crimes or health crises in progress.nThere are not regular patrols to keep this trail a cleared and safe place, for citizens or visitors.nOnly time will tell if our leaders have the courage and will to prevent this trail from becoming unusable again.nI am not seeing any indication of the chaos abating, so regrettfully, I can only leave a single star.
Nothing fancy but quite useful for travel between Santa Rosa & Sebastopol.
