I was hiking on this trail on November/30/2020.nThis is such a beautiful and peaceful trail.nIt is 5.5 miles loop and a little under 1,000 feet of elevation gain.nThere was no parking fee, but an opportunity to make a donations.nIt starts at The Land of Medicine Buddha.nI had a lot of fun hiking in this stunning redwood forest,ferns...etc.nIt was definitely a different feeling to hike on this trail compared from anywhere that I’ve ever been.nI actually really enjoyed, I had opportunity to talking to one of the monks instead of talking with ranger, that was pretty neat and different experience.nI was really pretty impressed with the grounds and the campsite.nI’m sure will come back to this hike again when the temperature outside up to 90 degrees.

I took the easy 3 mile redwoods hiking loop from the main buildings this morning. Gorgeous, peaceful walk, with many Buddhist-related meditation spots. Highly recommend getting there in the early morning - fewer people, brilliant light and shadows (assuming no fog), and an overall peaceful feeling.

The Land of Medicine Buddha is a serene retreat center nestled in the hills. The prayer wheels, Buddha statues, stupas, and verses of the Buddha’s teachings give a calming feeling to all visitors. Multiple hiking trails lead you through the majestic redwoods offer a rare treat.

Epic, beautiful place. I enjoyed my time as a volunteer years ago and now as a visitor.

Back when I lived in Soquel, I used to visit here once a week on my Sundays. And then I did a work-study trade program here and it was one of the best experiences of my life hands down. I love this Center & the Mahayana Buddhism Traditions that they teach. Anyone can benefit from coming here❤ud83eudd70
