What a beautiful, magical place! Tucked away in the Los Altos hills lies a hidden jewel easily accessible just minutes from the 280. Open to the public for the first time in over 55 years. I found this place thanks to Tom Steinstra, outdoor writer for the SF chronicle. I highly recommend this park to anyone who wants to escape into nature and appreciate what Mother Earth has to offer. The park is very well maintained but parking is limited. A lot with 6 designated parking spots is all that is provided so everyone else just parks around the lake, however there are NO parking signs there so be careful not sure if they enforce that or not. Also several photographers taking advantage of the picturesque landscape so if you want a great place to take friend and family photos, this is it. A few fisherman but no fish. I stood on a few rocks and saw several tiny fish but nothing worth catching. Also tons of mallard ducks which are my favorite. Anyways, 5 stars, lovely place, enjoy!

Such a fun place. We like hiking here. It will be open to the general public soon

The place they've kept non Palo Alto residents out of for years was finally accessible because covid kept them from putting anyone at the front guard shack. Spectacular trails in this place. Some of the better views in the Bay area. Note there are still a lot of one-way restrictions so follow those and enjoy the hikes and the lake!

Nice walk. Picnic areas are closed due to covid. Has mobile toilets every mile and well maintained

A wonderful surprising over the hill place. I imagine it’s beautiful judging by its nearby scenery. NOTE: it’s a private reserve - you must be a Palo Alto resident to get in. So I didn’t get to see it myself... I should have paid more attention to other reviews before driving all the way up... still, a part of the Bay Area I didn’t know exists before and those mountains are gorgeous.
