I was visiting the Los Altos area and as what I almost always do when traveling I explore the local fitness businesses. Barre3 has been one of my favorite, if not favorite, franchises. As such, I took advantage of their 2 week trial for new clients. It's hard for me to say anything negative about Barre3 because it's truly an amazing workout with an excellent balance of cardio and muscle toning. Similar to the other Barre3 studios I have been to, this Los Altos location has a friendly staff, very helpful instructors who checks you throughout the class whether its to make minor corrections to your form or just to see how you're doing. The workouts consist of pretty standard Barre3 movements though they dedicate ~10 minutes to breathing exercises at the end (I do think this is a new trend in Barre3 and not unique to this studio but it's one of the first places I have seen it incorporated). If it matters to you, there's also a great selection of retail.nnI am giving this studio 4 stars because of cleanliness and space. In other Barre3 studios, I am comfortable walking around with my shoes off as soon as I enter; the floors including those in the bathrooms are spotlessly clean. I did not feel this way in Los Altos. The tiles in the bathrooms were sticky and people walked in and out with their shoes still on. One of the bathrooms is also relatively small and neither has a shower stall. The flooring of studio isn't the traditional wood you may expect but the type of material you may find at a hot yoga studio which naturally felt dirty to me because dirt and sweat gets embedded in there. If it matters to you, their filtered water taste like tap so I always bring my own.nnOverall, it was a great experience and would recommend it if you're in the area.

I was invited to Barre3 Los Altos for my birthday and had a great workout. The staff was very knowledgeable, attentive and friendly, so will surely be back!

I find the instructors to be motivating, varied, and very positive. The staff is also quite friendly. The location is clean and easy to get to.

Fantastic workout, friendly and skilled instructors, clean space. Also has a small collection of workout gear.
