I am writing to dissuade anyone out there looking for an attorney from hiring Barbara Pretlove, and if you find yourself opposing her to be on the lookout. Barbara was the attorney tasked with administration of my father's estate. Somehow before his passing, with my father infirm and of questionable mental faculty, my step-sister became educated enough legally to take a series of actions that completely minimized my inheritance - like having her name quietly added to bank accounts, or his car mysteriously being sold when he was too sick to leave his bed, with no paper trail as to where the proceeds went. Then all along the way, with Barbara presumably tasked with the impartial execution of the will and trust, she proceeded to read and interpret every item in my step-sister's favor, and then nickel and dimed the account for every query or action to make sure that she maximized the engagement for her benefit. Attached for example is just the final billing, on a distribution amount of $10,000 - where all that was required was to sign and distribute the final check. Barbara's billing, over confirmation of my current legal name - which she had already since prior checks had been sent - totaled $975, or almost 10% of the amount distributed. If that's the kind of attorney you want, have at it - but be forewarned that if her interests and yours do not align, my experience is that she puts herself first.

I’m a single parent of 4 kids - with a surgery planned I was a mess and my anxiety was through the roof. Barbara made me comfortable and understood all of my worries, hopes and visions for the trust & my kids. She explained everything to me in a way that made it easy and made sure to have it all prepared before my surgery date - if it wasn’t for her I’d be entering surgery tomorrow with nothing set up for my kids and with a mind full of worries - she’s definately one in a million

This woman is awful. She lies and basically steals your money. She could care less about people. She shouldn’t be practicing law.
