I hate to provide average reviews but . . . I've been coming here for years. But this time the food was very average. In fact it didn't taste homemade. The soup tasted store bought. The garlic bread left much to be desired. The pizza was good but not great. Sadly I felt like I could have done a better job at home. Will we go back again? Absolutely. Perhaps it was just an off night.
Great spot to eat something when in a hurry. The service is speedy, rates are reasonable, great character. Keep up the good work
Spectacular pizza. All 5 stars are for the pizza. It was so good, I didn’t knock off any stars for the cheeseburger, which was below average. (November 2020)
Huge portions of OK food. Service was attentive and friendly. I quite liked the minestrone, though it was a little salty, it was also peppery and full of veggies. I fear gnocchi pomodoro was not the best choice--not interesting (though it was delicious the next day, once the sauce soaked into the gnocchi). My husband liked the chicken piccata and there was enough for four meals for him. I want to go back and try the pizza.
Got the Large Pizza (pepperoni, eggplant and mushroom) and Clam Chowder (3 bowls) Special. Came with garlic bread too. Each were excellent, and this is coming from a life-long Bostonian!!! ud83dude0b
